BIRMINGHAM: A builders’ merchant in Birmingham received a visit from local radio station, BRMB’s Tom Ross, who broadcasted live from the site, before officially opening its new premises.

The Minworth branch of national chain, Selco Builders’ Warehouse, has now moved to its new premises on the Chester Road, off the Tyburn Island in Erdington.

Tom Ross broadcasted live from the site, which is 50% bigger than the previous outlet, on October 17, before officially opening it to the public.

Mark Bramwell, general manager of Selco Tyburn, said that the move to the new premises was great news for customers. “We are always working hard to ensure that the service our customers receive keeps improving, and this massive new branch will mean even greater depth and breadth of stock on our shelves. That means customers know they can get what they need, when they need it,” he said.

Customers will now benefit even more from bigger stocks of building materials, which are always on the shelf to take away there and then. There are also hundreds of new products available, as well as a new kitchen and bathroom showroom.

Selco Builders’ Warehouse started out in Birmingham as a family run business, and now has 30 branches across the UK.
