NORTHAMPTON: Travis Perkins has a new divisional structure reporting through John Carter, chief operating officer.
From January the company will consist of four divisions: general merchanting, specialist merchanting, plumbing & heating, and consumer.
Norman Bell takes a new role as group development director, Paul Tallentire is appointed divisional chairman of the plumbing and heating division, and Ian Church, managing Director of PTS.
Jeremy Bird is promoted to the new role of divisional chairman for the Consumer division. Simon King, previously chief operations officer at Asda, joins as managing director Wickes.
Joe Mescall and Arthur Davidson continue to lead the remaining two operating divisions as divisional chairmen of general merchanting and specialist merchanting respectively.
Kieran Griffin, a former Keyline and Travis Perkins manager and regional director is promoted to managing director, Travis Perkins Midlands.
Howard Luft, until recently managing director Buck & Hickman and responsible for the sale of this business, re-joins Travis to become managing director CCF.

- General Merchanting comprises the four regional Travis Perkins businesses
- Specialist Merchanting comprises Keyline, CCF, Benchmarx and Rinus Roofing
- Plumbing & Heating, comprises BSS Industrial, PTS, Direct Heating Spares, City
- Plumbing Supplies and City Heating Spares
- Consumer comprises Wickes, Tile Giant and ToolStation.
