LEICESTER: Out from the old and into new, purpose-built premises. The National Merchant Buying Society team will occupy 10 Merus Court, Meridian Business park, Leicester LE19 1RJ on Monday 19 December.

"The new building is much easier to find and has over 20 dedicated car spaces and lots of free off road parking nearby," said marketing manager, Dean Hayward. "We are conveniently placed within a very short distance of the Hilton and Marriott Hotels and the Meridian Business and Leisure Park.

"We will be offering meeting facilities to all our members and suppliers, as well as taking full advantage of the better office layout and facilities; which although they occupy approximately the same floor space as our existing building, functional departments will be better situated towards working together, with two floors rather than three."

Managing director Chris Hayward stated: "At NMBS we have experienced positive growth in 2011 for the first time since the recession and we have lots of other positive moves in the pipeline that you will be hearing from us in due course.

"With a clear business strategy to deliver more sales growth in 2012 with the introduction of 'category management' and better member support through improved marketing and telesales, we are very confident of a successful future for NMBS and its members."

Other initiatives already include a planned response to the Green Deal and a thorough review of NMBS' back office systems. "We want to ensure we continue to lead the field in the applied use of technology and the further development of the extremely successful NMBS report centre.

"The new modern office will provide us the platform to continue to grow as a business as well as allowing us to provide the best possible services to our membership," Mr Hayward added.
