NORTHAMPTON: Travis Perkins has signed again with commercial rights holder MotorSport Vision as an official sponsor of the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in a deal brokered by European agency, The Perfect Image Sports Marketing. The agreement will see an increased profile for Travis Perkins at all BSB events.

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship is the biggest motorsports series in the UK. The series is supported by all major motorcycle manufacturers and a diverse range of commercial and media partners. It attracts leading riders from all over the world as well providing the World Championships with its future new talentIts extraordinary competitiveness was demonstrated at the final round of this year's championship with Tommy Hill crowned champion with a winning margin of just six thousandths of a second over his nearest rival American, John Hopkins.

"With this renewed sponsorship deal, the Travis Perkins brand will benefit from visibility to TV audiences of 10 million UK viewers from 350 hours of TV broadcast coverage, over 65 of them live, and almost 420 000 trackside visitors to the circuits during the season," said trade marketing director, Linda Doughty.

"We have been supported in this sponsorship deal by one of our key suppliers, Wavin who will be utilising this platform to promote their Hep2O brand."

The first of 12 rounds of the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship takes place at Brands Hatch in Kent over Easter weekend (6-9 April).
