CAMBRIDGESHIRE: Travis Perkins is expected to move its London Road, Chatteris depot to a new site on vacant land north of Honeysome Road Industrial Estate.
The site includes a planned Tesco store. Fenland Council approved the plan for the Fenland Way site last Wednesday and Harrier Developments is hoping to start work later this year.
Liz Dent, the agent dealing with the application, said: "Harrier Developments and Tesco are delighted with the planning decision and are fully committed to starting work as soon as possible.
"However, as with any large development, there are a number of requirements and conditions to be fulfilled before building can start.
"As things stand at the moment, Harrier Developments are hoping to begin work later this year with a view to Tesco and Travis Perkins being open in the spring of 2013."
