WORKSOP: Nottingham police want to hear from people who have been offered decking, sheds or fences after the Wickes store in Sandy Lane was burgled.

It is believed two men cut through a fence at about 12.30am on Tuesday and removed sheds, decking and meshing.

Police suspect they passed the items through the fence to an area occupied by domestic garages behind Sandy Lane between a car showroom and Grafton Street.

They then loaded their haul into a white Ford Transit van, which was seen on CCTV at 2.23am as it was driven away from Sandy Lane and into Sandhill Flats.

PC Jay Stebel said: "These individuals spent some considerable time at the scene, so there is every chance that someone living in the houses close by may have heard some activity at the store and saw the offenders in the act of stealing these goods. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
