COVENTRY: The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) will be an official show partner for Timber Expo 2012. Within its partnership agreement, the Federation will have a stand at the show and the BMF logo will feature on the website, the promotional ezine Expozine and the official show guide, underlining the Federation’s significant role in the construction sector.

BMF members are offered several key benefits, including 5% discount on stand space and VIP status as visitors.

A feature unique to Timber Expo is the Timber Buyers’ Forum, which links exhibitors with major contractors, developers and clients. Christine Harding, the Federation’s Marketing Manager, said, ‘We are pleased to be working with Timber Expo this year as an official show partner. A large number of our members are involved with timber and we look forward to promoting the show and the Timber Buyers’ Forum in particular.’

Timber Expo will provide the opportunity for ‘dialogue, networking and forging new business links’, said TRADA Membership & Marketing Manager Rupert Scott. ‘Even in this electronic age, there is no substitute for face to face discussion. We are delighted to be working closely with BMF to enable both the Federation and its members to benefit from Timber Expo 2012 as a platform for promoting their activities and meeting with customers and specifiers.’

Timber Expo has entered into similar partnership agreements with the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and is in discussion with other key organisations.

Timber Expo 2012 takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 25 and 26 September.
