LEICESTER: More than 175 plumbing and heating installers were given a preview of new product launches by more than a dozen key industry suppliers at the annual trade exhibition held by Robert Pochin.

Leicestershire's leading independent plumbing and heating merchant welcomed installers from across the East Midlands to the event, which was held at Leicester City's King Power Stadium.

Suppliers displayed the latest developments in the boiler and heating market, including airsource renewable energy technologies, controls and underfloor heating, plus the latest products in the bathroom sector and trade kitchens.

The installers – mostly running their own businesses – came from Leicestershire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire for the event.

Pochin, a Leicester-headquartered family firm celebrating 150 years in business – has a trade counter network in all four counties.

Pochin's annual showcase for the trade also saw special offers and promotions available for the trade installers.

Managing director David Pochin said: "We like to bring our customers and suppliers together, with Pochin, to introduce installers to brands new and old and to their new products. It's an excellent networking opportunity for suppliers and customers, and helps our own sales team to continue to develop and nurture the great relationships we have with our customers that are so central to the success of the business.

"The suppliers support us and the installers, and it is good that the trade continues to innovate and look to bring excellent new products to the end consumers. Pochin itself has been around a long time, and you don't get to be 150 years old without continuing to adapt and keep investing."

Suppliers which had stands at the event included Bristan; Makita; Daikin; Polypipe; Vogue UK; Telford Cylinders; Mira; Salus Controls; Toolbank; Roman; Stelrad; Pura; Rixonway Kitchens; Rangemaster; Adey and Ferroli.

Pochin trade counters are at Loughborough; Oakham; Long Eaton; Hinckley; Market Harborough and at Leicester's Samuel Street and Murrayfield Road.
