LINCOLNSHIRE:  Jacksons Building Centers held it's annual Jackson's Bonanza, with 113 exhibitors attending, at the Licolnshire Showgound this month. There was a Casino theme, with the whole event attracting around 3000 people.

Jeld-Wen exhibited for the third year in a row and reported a successful event. Tony Lenc, national account manager for Jeld-Wen, said: “This was a hugely successful event for us and we were pleased to support Jacksons again. We were delighted with the level of enquiries and had lots of interest in our windows, patios, stairs and internal doors, which we are now following up on behalf of Jacksons.”

Ben Middleton, marketing manager for Jacksons, said: “The event was bigger and better than ever this year and it was great to have so much support from suppliers like JELD-WEN. We aim to make it a really fun event, whilst it’s an opportunity for our suppliers to meet and sell directly to specifiers, contractors and builders.”

Visitors to the recent VIP Jackson Bonanza 2012 will remember the Uponor name for many months to come, after being .

Uponor had an opportunity of a lifetime, with visitors and guests able to play the 2008 darts world champion Mark ‘the spider’ Webster at a number of darts challenges. The games involved Mark throwing six darts and the competition nine darts in a high score challenge, but the world number eight was still impressed with what he saw, even if he was slightly hamstrung.

Uponor’s sales director, Mark Tudor, said that exhibiting at the Jackson’s event had been a big success, with a number of sales leads generated and huge brand exposure also achieved through the innovative darts stage. He said: “Our plumbing solutions including pre-insulated pipe and One Pack underfloor heating systems were well received, as was our darts stand with Mark Webster, who we sponsor.

“There were a number of 180s as well as some slightly less memorable scores, but the standard overall was fantastic, as was the decision to exhibit at the Jackson event.”
