LEAMINGTON SPA: Wolseley UK has achieved ISO9001:2008 certification. The nationwide branch network - comprising Integrated Services, Drain Center, Pipe Center, Climate Center, Plumb Center and Parts Center, as well as its distribution centres - is now certified under the standard, which is independently assessed by an accredited third party.

"ISO 9001 certification demonstrates that Wolseley UK has implemented an effective Quality Management System across its business which satisfies all of the requirements of the applicable standards for the products and services it provides to customers," said Stan Wong, Wolseley UK's quality manager. 

"Under the terms of the certification, however large or small the purchase, customers can be confident that we have the necessary policy, systems, processes and procedures to manage resources and training, the placement of quality assured product on the market and the preservation and handling of product.

"It also demonstrates that Wolseley UK has the correct measures in place to monitor customer satisfaction and react accordingly, building on Wolseley UK’s commitment to customer service excellence."

Mr Wong added that is was good news for the merchant's customers, too, "because we’re now able to provide products and services without needing to undergo extensive questionnaire processes and on-site audits, which should save them time and money".
