BIRMINGHAM: Travis Perkins Group has pledged its support as a Platinum Sponsor for a new retrofit exhibition - Retro Expo.
Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from Tuesday 30 October - Thursday 1 November 2012, Retro Expo will showcase energy efficient retrofit products, services and quality training. Timed to coincide with the launch of the Green Deal, Retro Expo will also host The Green Deal Summit, a Retrofit Buyers Programme and will run alongside InstallerLive - the national plumbing, heating and renewables show. Retro Expo is being delivered in partnership with the Building Research Establishment and The Department for Energy and Climate Change, as well as a host of other strategic partners. It will cover retrofits in the domestic, commercial and public buildings markets.
In partnership with Toriga Energy, Travis Perkins Group will offer a full end to end Green Deal solution from specification through to finance, assessment and installation. PPL Training will work in partnership to deliver training in refurbishment to Travis Perkins customers. Both Toriga and PPL will be exhibiting alongside Travis Perkins, and will deliver presentations as part of Retro Expo's educational programme.
Speaking on behalf of Travis Perkins Group, Paul Joyner, director of Travis Perkins' Sustainable Building Solutions business, said: "We were impressed with Retro Expo's commitment to the retrofit market, and their vision of bringing the whole refurbishment supply chain together from SME installers, assessors and specifiers through to local authorities, clients and housing associations. We will be working collaboratively with the organisers of Retro Expo to ensure that many of our customers attend to see the innovative products, services and training available to them. This is a great opportunity for the industry to showcase opportunities for retrofit solutions and the Green Deal".
David Pierpoint, business development director of Retro Expo, commented: "We set out to work in partnership with leading merchants and Green Deal Providers, and to secure the support of a market-leader such as Travis Perkins is fantastic. Our family of Providers is also growing rapidly."
