GLOUCESTERSHIRE: Shoreheat, the UK's largest independent stockist of boiler and heating spares, solar spares and controls, is to build its business further following integration into plumbing and heating merchant Plumbase.

Shoreheat's 19 branches and central distribution centre are being rebranded Sparesbase as part of the initiative, which will receive investment from its new parent company. Sparesbase will supply professional installers with boiler and heating spares, solar spares and controls for both domestic and commercial use.

Shoreheat's existing team of staff, along with their expertise, will remain with the business to maintain the professional and knowledgeable service provided to its customers.

In addition to Shoreheat, the new Sparesbase brand will also integrate Time & Temperature, an existing Plumbase spares business.

The expertise of both businesses and their staff combined will result in 37 Sparesbase stores, all offering a vast range of in-store boiler and heating spares, solar spares and controls. Over the coming months Sparesbase aims to open additional stores within existing Plumbase branches, taking the total to 67 stores nationally, with further expansion also planned.

The rebranding of Shoreheat and Time & Temperature will take place during August, with more stores coming in the next few months, while new products and services will be introduced later in the year.

"The integration of these two major players in the spares business makes it exciting times for the industry," said Aidan Ogle, Sparesbase business development director. "Both have fantastic reputations for their level of service and expertise, and it's these strengths that will be built upon as part of a bigger group."
