KINGS LYNN: Building products SIG has completed a deal to save Essex Roofing's materials arm, saving around half the 25 staff jobs.
Essex Roofing set up in 1977 and grew to become a major supplier of pitched roofing products and a specialist contractor in East Anglia.
But the business ran into problems and earlier this month and was placed in administration with insolvency specialists Wilkins Kennedy.
The Colchester base of the roofing contractor is closed although an unnamed buyer has bought some of the assets of the business.
