BEDFORD: F&P Wholesale has announced plans to relocate its Bedford distribution centre in the New Year. The distributor of heating, plumbing and bathroom products' current site in Bedford location holds a wide range of products, but the new 60 00sq ft distribution centre will allow the company to carry additional product lines in greater depth and all under one roof.
Based at Units 1 & 2 Hammond Road, Elms Farm Industrial Estate, the new site will will begin to service customers during January 2013.
Peter Hankinson, operations director at F&P Wholesale, said: "We are constantly looking at new ways to provide our customers with an extensive and high quality product range. However, our core focus will always be availability and our tried and tested 'one tomorrow' delivery proposition.
"The additional storage capacity at our new Bedford Distribution Centre will allow our customers to benefit from an even wider range of plumbing, heating and bathroom products. The extended range will allow our customers to utilise us as an essential 'second warehouse', ensuring they can offer anything their customer requests on a 'one tomorrow' basis."
F&P Wholesale has 10 dedicated distribution centres located around the UK and only sells products directly to independent merchants and retailers.
