Jewson has announced the winners of its exclusive Facebook competition, which invited trade professionals to 'Take Your Best Shot'. The top three winners, Nigel Morris, Danielle Hatch and Shane Ross each received a DeWalt battery tool kit and an iPad3 worth over £2000, with fourth placed Drew Newey winning a tool kit.

The overall winner was Nigel Morris, a Care Home Managerfrom Torquay. He recently raised significant funds for a sensory garden to be built at the home and when he noticed a dog climb into one of the diggers during its build - it gave him the inspiration for his winning snap.

Second place went to Danielle Hatch, a heating and plumbing engineer, for a shot of her cheerleading team striking a pose, while third and fourth place were taken by Shane Ross and Drew Newey respectively for their comical pug and snoozing workmen snaps.

Mark Wright, online marketing executive at Jewson commented: "Our customers' response to the competition was fantastic and we are encouraged by the level of engagement we are observing from both customers and non-customers on social media channels. The final four were worthy winners and we know the prizes will be put to good use. "

The competition helped to launch Jewson's new Tools Direct website. The site allows trade professionals to purchase the tools they need online, then have them delivered directly to site orcollected from one of over 600 Jewson branches nationwide, where customers can still benefit from Jewson's trusted in-branch customer service.

"The Tools website covers hand, power, decorating, cleaning, and gardening tools as well as a range of consumables. A one-stop-shop for trade professionals, the website offers free delivery with click and collect orders, while home or site deliveries are free to customers who spend more than £50," Mr Wright reported.
