The BMF will move into its new Coventry head office on 1 March. The 7000 sq ft offices have been given a major makeover to provide accommodation for meetings, seminars and training in addition to office space for the head office team.

In doing so, the BMF has taken the opportunity to make the offices as energy efficient as possible, with solar powered PV panels fitted to the roof providing electricity and feeding back to the National Grid, the installation of an A-rated boiler powering the heating system and LED lighting throughout to minimise power consumption.

Said BMF managing director, John Newcomb: “Moving into new premises presented us with a fantastic opportunity to make the building and our working environment as green and energy efficient as possible. The space is designed to provide a hub for all our activities and we have created an environment that will be pleasant to work in and economical to run.”

Mr Newcomb continued: “There are various finishing touches to be made in the coming weeks before we are ready to welcome visitors. But we will be holding a formal opening for invited guests on 30 April, when the opening ceremony will be performed by a major figurehead from the merchant industry and a famous personality form the sporting world in the Midlands.”

From 1 March all correspondence to the BMF should be directed to:
