Knauf Insulation has secured an agreement with the Combined Buying Association (CBA) to supply its Earthwool glass mineral wool throughout 2013 and 2014.

The supply agreement comes as part of Knauf Insulation’s ongoing work to improve and develop its offering for merchant customers and is the culmination of several years of close collaboration with the CBA.

Alan Smith, merchant group buyer at Howarth Timber & Building Supplies, said: “We have been impressed by the range and quality of Knauf Insulation’s products, as well as the real awareness of our members’ needs that is clearly demonstrated throughout the business. We are looking forward to further developing our relationship with Knauf Insulation throughout the duration of this supply agreement and beyond.”

Under the agreement, Knauf Insulation will supply the CBA with a number of products from its Earthwool range of glass mineral wool, including Earthwool Loft Roll, Earthwool DriTherm Cavity Slab and Earthwool Flexible Slab.

David Adams, Knauf Insulation commercial director, commented: “We are committed to strengthening our relationships with the builders merchant sector and have embarked on a sustained programme of strategic development, in which we have closely analysed and refined our merchant offering.

“As part of this, we have adjusted our service so that it is more closely tailored to the requirements of the merchant market. Also, while we recognise that loft and cavity wall solutions remain important product lines, we are able to provide a comprehensive product portfolio over and above these, demonstrating the added value we can provide our merchant customers. In this post-CERT market we continue to gain share by showing that we are the best value supplier.”
