WOKINGHAM: Remeha is pleased to announce that Green Vale Homes has signed up to their carbon offsetting scheme, kick-starting an environmentally forward-thinking heating season for both organisations.
Remeha has signed an agreement to offset the carbon emissions produced by its Remeha Avanta range of boilers installed in Green Vale Homes’ social housing. Under the initiative, Remeha will pay a carbon offsetting sum of £7.50 + VAT per tonne to JP Morgan ClimateCare for each new boiler purchased. ClimateCare, one of the UK’s leading organisations in this field, delivers carbon emission reductions around the world through carefully monitored and verified projects.
Remeha has been keen to welcome partners in its commitment to the environment and has already signed up a number of social housing organisations since the scheme began in 2007. The scheme was also short-listed for the Green Initiative of the Year Award at this year’s Corgi Awards.
Green Vale Homes is very pleased to also get involved with the initiative. Their vision is “to make a difference for people, homes and communities”, and they hope to make a difference through the reduction of their carbon footprint.
