Ridgeons, along with other employers in Cambridge, recently talked to students from six schools at two events arranged by the Cambridge Area 14-19 Partnership. The events were designed for students wanting to start work following their GCSEs.

Speakers from the companies, including former apprentices, discussed how to write CVs and complete job application forms. The students learned about the skills and personal qualities that employers are looking for when they recruit, and took part in activities to think about how they can demonstrate those skills.

Rebecca Mason, HR manager at Ridgeons, said: “The Ridgeons Group is always keen to support the local community – particularly educational development. If we can share our knowledge and experience to enable the students to secure their first career step, we will have achieved one of the aims of CAP [Cambridge Area 14-19 Partnership].”
