IBD has been appointed by several plumbers' merchants to provide their trade customers with Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) project design, commissioning and sign-off services.

Plumbstop, Sussex Plumbing Supplies, Edwin Fryers, Tucker & French and Bristol Building Supplies have all teamed up with IBD to meet increasing demand from installers for MCS services, and the supply of renewable energy heating and ventilation solutions for residential and commercial installations.

IBD will supply the merchants with a range of renewable products, including ground- and air-source heat pumps, biomass wood-pellet condensing boilers and solar thermal systems.

IBD's MCS services include system designs, commissioning and sign off. These services take the onus off plumbers to achieve their own time-consuming and costly MCS accreditation, enabling them to take on financially attractive commercial Renewable Heat Incentive work in the commercial and residential schemes.
