CAMBRIDGE: Ridgeons has launched a new selection of point of sale material to help customers purchase the right treated timber for their needs.

The range of point of sale material was developed in partnership with Osmose, market leaders in wood preservatives, and provides a complete breakdown of which grades / class of wood should be used for different elements of the construction process, both inside and outside the home. It also outlines what treatment process gives the optimum effect for performance and life expectancy of the timber chosen.

In addition to providing guidance on which timber and treatment process customers should choose, the literature also outlines key information about handling and disposal of treated timber.

Stephan Wait, merchant sales development manager for Ridgeons Forest Products, said: “Timber is a fantastic building material and it is very important that when people make their purchase, they select the right treated timber for the job. Working in partnership with Osmose we have developed an informative range of point of sale that provides a simple, visual guide for Ridgeons’ customers. The new range of point of sale means we are able to improve the guidance we can provide for our customers and as a result, enhance the service we can offer.”
