HEMEL HEMPSTEAD: James Latham director, Chris Sutton, has been appointed as deputy chairman of the National Panel Products Division for the Timber Trade Association.
Mr Sutton commented: “I’m delighted to be appointed to this position within the Timber Trade Association. I sit on the committee which represents the interests of association members, and we discuss trade issues such as changes to the interpretation of European Norms (EN), to ensure members are operating within the Code of Conduct and Code of Practice.
“We also debate delicate issues such as how panels using palm should be described and sold, and we provide statistics and information to members. We also give environmental and product guidance.
“I’m thoroughly enjoying my role as deputy chairman and I’m delighted to be able to use my 34 year’s industry experience to support the Association. Being involved in some of the wider industry issues has also bolstered my knowledge and insight and benefitted me in my role as a director of James Latham.”
