DARWEN: Crown Paints, has been awarded a ‘Best Practice' award in recognition of a raft of environmental improvement measures implemented by the company across its operations.
Crown won the Environmental Best Practice category (for large companies with over 500 employees) and was highly commended in the Carbon Management category in this year’s Lancashire Business Environment Awards.
The county-wide award scheme, now in its 14th year, is managed and organised by Groundwork Pennine Lancashire to recognise the achievements of Lancashire businesses of all types and sizes in improving their environmental performance.
Crown’s award submissions presented different aspects of the manufacturer’s all-encompassing earthbalance® programme, a holistic approach to achieving long term sustainability which has involved every one of the company’s 1400 employees.
