WARWICKSHIRE: Seddon Property Services has appointed Jewson as one of its principle suppliers for a new four-year contract with Warwickshire Council worth £10 million.

The merchant was selected due to its strong national network, its ability to offer dedicated staff in branch and to consolidate invoicing to streamline processes.

Seddon Property Services is one of several companies within the Seddon Group based in Cheshire. All companies within the group offer their own distinct specialisation and Seddon Property Services delivers a comprehensive range of building, painting and maintenance services for public and private sectors.

The contract began on the 1st December and consists of planned and reactive maintenance to schools and public buildings throughout Warwickshire. Jewson will be the principle supplier of a wide range of building materials to the contractor teams from Seddon Property Services.

"We are looking forward to working with Jewson and selected the merchant as principle supplier for this contract due to its strong network of branches in the Warwickshire area," commented Lee Hollins, Business Process Development Manager at Seddon Property Services. "Furthermore, Jewson's extensive experience in the sector meant that they could offer us bespoke and flexible solutions such as dedicated staff in branch, a van stock replenishment service and the consolidation of invoices to streamline processes. "

The role of the merchant within the supply chain has changed and Jewson is leading the way developing new service and delivery models to add value for contractors.
