LUTON: Gibbs & Dandy has announced that it will now be stocking Chain of Custody certified joinery and timber products across its branch network.
The scheme, which tracks, monitors and certifies the entire journey of timber from forest to sales counter, has been rolled out to all Gibbs & Dandy branches. The adoption of this auditing process and branch certification provides trade and retail customers with access to a range of environmentally accountable products, from boards, panels and machined and sawn hard and softwoods to landscaping products, kitchen cabinets and joinery products.
Chain of Custody is a traceable and transparent method of ensuring that timber is not only sourced from legal and well-managed forests, but that at every stage of its journey, including sawmills and distributors, it adheres to these ethical and environmental principles.
