COVENTRY: Jewson has launched a new Health & Safety Awareness leaflet. Available at a number of Jewson branches nationwide and all Tool Hire branches, the detailed leaflet contains the latest products, tools and equipment as well as practical advice to help trade professionals stay safe on site.
From the smallest to the largest job on a construction site - maintaining a high level of health and safety is absolutely crucial. However, according to a recent report from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), nearly one in five construction sites failed safety checks. With this in mind, Jewson is promoting the importance of health and safety to its customers through the new Jewson Health & Safety Awareness leaflet.
With an overview of relevant legislation, advice is offered on important issues for trade professionals to take into account when preparing for and working on site. These include working at height; dust control; dealing with asbestos; managing LPG and Gas Fuelled Equipment; Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) as well as Whole Body Vibration (WBV).
Jewson's new leaflet goes on to detail relevant products such as a safety kit, which contains all the basic essentials a trade professional should have in their toolkit including: dust mask, goggles, ear protection and gloves. The leaflets also covers the latest offers on safety boots and trainers; first aid kits; waterproof jackets and trousers; ladders and harness kits as well as respirators and disposable coveralls.
The leaflet also includes information on relevant training such as free Health & Safety Certification at Jewson branches by fully trained Paslode Spit professionals on the use and maintenance of its tools.
