Chandlers Building Supplies has opened a Sustainable Building Solutions training centre at its Lewes branch.
As more and more regulations come into force, the centre will help Chandlers’ staff fully assist local tradespeople and homeowners.
Phil Barnard, Chandler’s technical specification manager, heads the development of Sustainable Building Solutions. He said: “Environmental issues are becoming more and more prevalent in consumers’ minds and every industry has had to adapt. At Chandlers we have recently added a number of different products, which along with other benefits, can help our customers make savings on their energy bills.
“Some of the products can be quite confusing at first glance, but with our new training facility we are able to ensure that all our staff are fully familiar with all our sustainable building products and are able to pass on their expertise to our customers, enabling them to make a considered choice. The training centre is also available to those in the industry to ensure that they are fully informed about new products coming into this growing market.”
