A team of staff from Selco Builders Warehouse has raised £6,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support on a 60-mile cycle marathon that toured the firm’s five north London branches.

“It was a great day and we are all thrilled with the amount of money raised,” said Paul Neary, Selco’s north-east London regional manager, who organised and took part in the marathon. “Plenty of training went in before the event and it was fantastic that all the hard work paid off.

“While there was some pain along the way, I think everyone enjoyed it and we are already in the planning stage of arranging another cycling charity event later in the year.”

The cycling team included Chris Wedlock, Mark Kelly, Billy Donnelly, Graham Neary, Paul Asquith, Marc Lucock, Jamie Robinson, Sean Madden and Paul Neary.
