As part of a record investment in its trade paint brands, AkzoNobel has unveiled Armstead Trade, the new brand that will replace Glidden Trade.

Rolled out across merchants nationwide, Armstead Trade inherits a comprehensive range of tried and tested paint finishes from Glidden Trade that are designed to deliver professional results at an everyday, affordable price. But as part of AkzoNobel’s development of the brand, 2014 will also see the launch of improved and completely new products, a wider range of pack sizes, and additional colour support materials to help decorators deliver a quality finish, even on the most cost constrained jobs.

To celebrate the launch of Armstead Trade, this summer will also see a series of promotions, competitions and events at selected merchants across the country.

Alex Briggs, senior brand manager at AkzoNobel, said: “As part of the launch, we’ve also looked at how we can improve our products and services to make Armstead Trade the smarter choice for professionals. So while customers will still be able to get the same products they know and love, throughout this year, we’ll also be introducing finishes that provide even better performance, at a great price.

“Our new products will also be backed up by AkzoNobel’s world-class technical support and advice so professionals can complete every job with complete confidence.”
