STAFFORD: Adhesives and sealants provider Bostik UK has announced the appointment of Richard Howells as sustainable development manager. This newly created post signals Bostik’s continued commitment to developing sustainable practice as a core element of its business.

Mr Howells previously led groundbreaking sustainability programs at one of the largest steel manufacturers in Europe, with particular focus on sustainable practices and responsible sourcing of construction products. He holds a PhD in construction technology.

On his appointment, Mr Howells commented: "I’m delighted to be joining Bostik and looking forward to continuing the positive work already in place to ensure the company leads the way in sustainability.

“A key part of my role will be to work closely with builder’s merchants on product development, production and delivery across major brands such as Evo-Stik and Cementone.”
