Simon Acres Group has announced that Andy Gamble will be working with them as a consultant and adviser to the Building & Construction Recruitment brand.
Bringing extensive experience in the construction sector and, in particular, a deep understanding of the merchanting industry, Gamble will be working more closely with Simon Acres Group Limited (SAGL) to support their Building & Construction Recruitment Limited (BACRL) brand.
Alongside his ongoing consultancy commitments, Gamble will also extend his expertise to offering construction material distribution advice, advisory board support and one to one coaching to include both personal and business mentoring for BACRL clients.
With over 40 years of construction experience, including MD and Board Director positions at prominent builders’ merchant RGB and Bradfords Building Supplies, plus experience in KBB showrooms, Gamble sees this move as a natural addition to his portfolio.
“For me, this is a great opportunity, where I can continue to support the construction industry, particularly supporting builders’ merchant and distribution clients with their operations and sales strategies,” he commented.
Gamble will be supported, internally, by BACRL’s newly appointed Catherine McLaughlin. She will be able to introduce new construction clients and propose personnel, while having a commitment to the overall goal of SAGL and signposting more apprenticeship journeys.
Simon Acres, Managing Director of SAGL, welcomes the announcement, stating: “We have already been working closely with Andy and see real synergy in his experience, ability and beliefs. With the government’s plan to deliver 1.5 million homes over this Parliament, we want to help the industry by ensuring that apprenticeships are a proportion of the additional workforce that is vitally needed today.
"The Construction Skills Network report highlights the need for an extra 251,500 extra construction workers by 2028 to meet demand in the UK. Andy’s commitment to supporting the industry makes him an ideal partner for BACRL. Catherine is also a fantastic addition to the team and we look forward to seeing the BACRL brand thrive.”
