LOUGHBOROUGH: This year Graham celebrates its 75th birthday and its position as one of the leading plumbers’ merchants in the UK.

Graham branches will be holding special events throughout the year and to coincide with the celebrations – the Graham National Karting Challenge launches in April for branches and customers in the UK.

Graham was originally founded in 1936 in Glasgow as builders’ merchant Thomas Graham & Son. Today, it provides customers with some of the most up-to-date service available from a plumbing merchant network and a vast range of plumbing, bathroom, heating products, heating spares and renewable energy solutions.

In addition, this year the merchant is reinforcing its commitment to the renewable sector with the launch of its Greenworks Academy in Birmingham as well as a series of dedicated renewable centres around the UK with the aim of providing customers with the ideal combination of hands-on training as well as detailed guidance and support in branch.

As part of its 75th birthday celebrations, Graham will launch its popular Go Karting Challenge on 4 April. The endurance event allows branch staff and customers to compete together in heats around the UK to earn a place in the London final and win a once-in-a lifetime trip to see the famous Le Mans race in 2012.

"Our services and product offerings may have expanded over the years – particularly with our investment into renewable technologies – but we pride ourselves for retaining what our customers have always known us for: a strong network of branches, a wide range of products and friendly, knowledgeable staff," commented Ian Kenny, marketing director at Graham.

"We are delighted to celebrate this landmark birthday with our staff and customers – building on our proud history and 75 years of expertise to help support our customers for a very bright future."
