Landscaping and building materials supplier Growtivation has acquired the landscape and geotextile fabric division of TDP.
The deal will see Growtivation take on products including landscape fabrics Plantex and TDP50, geotextile TDP115 and fibres for concrete, screed, plaster and render.
For Growtivation, which has grown to a multimillion-pound business over the past decade, the acquisition will allow it to further expand its offering to both existing and new customers. Meanwhile, Growtivation and TDP are working closely together to ensure that TDP’s customers will not be affected by the transition of the products between the two companies.
Growtivation Director Vernon Elsey said: “This was too good an opportunity to miss. We are gaining some fantastic products which will integrate well into the Growtivation family. There are a lot of similarities between our two companies in terms of culture, values and a focus on quality and customer service. We believe this acquisition firmly cements us as the leading specialist in the landscaping and building fabrics sector.”
TDP established its landscape and geotextile division in 1991, when the company was founded. The sale of the division to Growtivation will allow it to focus on developing its newer recycled garden furniture division.
TDP Managing Director Rob Barlow said: “We are delighted that the division has been acquired by Growtivation, the largest player in the market. They are widely recognised for their service, quality, and expertise, and with a dedicated sales force and a broader product range, they are exceptionally well placed to take the business forward. We believe this transition presents a great opportunity for customers, both now and in the future.”
