The Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) has appointed Gavin Crane, Chief Executive of Band of Builders, as Chair of the BMF Ambassador Group, which promotes the building materials sector and raises awareness of the diverse range of career opportunities it offers.

Crane leads the UK charity dedicated to supporting construction workers and their families through practical projects, financial support and mental health services. Since joining Band of Builders as a volunteer in 2017, he has helped transform it into a national organisation backed by leading industry partners and hundreds of volunteers.

With a background in leadership, community mobilisation and industry engagement, Crane is committed to strengthening connections across the construction sector and championing the next generation entering the industry. He is passionate about creating opportunities for ambassadors to inspire, support and represent the sector’s values across the UK.
