The KNIPEX Cobra® QuickSet
Quick to adjust, solid in the hand and ideal for tight spaces, the KNIPEX Cobra® QuickSet (87 21 250/300) takes everything plumbers love about the original Cobra® and adds a smart upgrade: a sliding function so you can adjust the size directly on the workpiece simply by pushing the pliers’ handle.
This QuickSet function makes it incredibly easy to work in confined or awkward spaces. With the pliers fully open, simply push the lower handle and slide – the jaws adjust automatically to the workpiece. Once pressure is applied, the spring-loaded hinge bolt locks into place on the first grip, giving you a secure hold straight away. To reset, just press the QuickSet push button and open the tool fully.
While the adjustment mechanism is new, the rest of the tool sticks to the winning formula that made the Cobra® such a staple on site. You still get reliable self-clamping on pipes and nuts, with no slipping even under pressure. The hardened teeth provide long-lasting grip and the box-joint construction ensures high stability, even under torque. A built-in pinch guard helps keep your fingers safe and the multi-position fine adjustment (25 positions for the QuickSet) means it fits perfectly across a wide range of pipe sizes and fittings.
The Cobra® QuickSet is available in two sizes – 250 mm and 300 mm – along with a 250 mm version (87 22 250) featuring comfortable multi-component grips. It’s a tough, dependable tool that’s built to handle the real-world demands of plumbing and installation work.
For jobs involving finished chrome pipe, delicate fittings or softer materials, there’s also the option to fit protective plastic jaw covers (86 09 250/ 300 V01). These clip securely over the gripping surfaces to prevent scratches or marks, without compromising grip or control. Each set includes three pairs and is available for both the 250 mm and 300 mm models.
