More than 250 plumbers and heating engineers attended a trio of seminars, organised by James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies, and designed to outline the Low Carbon future.

James Hargreaves Plumbing Supplies has already established a specialist Low Carbon Heating Team in light of the UK Government’s plan for net-zero carbon by 2050.

The seminars were held in Lancashire (Burnley), Yorkshire (Wakefield) and Greater Manchester (Leigh), with more in the pipeline.

Scott Wright, Head of the Low Carbon Heating Team at James Hargreaves, said: “The national low carbon journey is underway and the Government wants to see 600,000 air source heat pumps being installed every year by 2028.

“That demand is certain to provide significant work for installers and we want our plumbers and heating engineers to have every chance to seize the opportunity.

“James Hargreaves have invested heavily in putting together a specialist department focused on Low Carbon Heating Solutions, so we are now well placed to support the trade going forward. Our close relationships with the leading Air Source Heat Pump suppliers has resulted in us keeping a range of stock to suit all needs.

“If you add this strong stock profile to the partnerships we have with leading low carbon heating system designers and software providers, we are able to provide the very best service levels.”

Seminar attendees were given a comprehensive introduction to Air Source Heat Pumps, including the various regulations, products, system requirements, and training options available for installers.

“Turnout was fantastic, and it was also great that so many key manufacturers also came along to answer questions, give advice and provide product information. We have already started to take reservations online for the next round of seminars in Preston, Huddersfield and Sheffield,” Wright concluded.
