Hydronics solutions specialist ESBE has worked with one of its key distribution partners to produce a pair of videos which seek to educate the market regarding the manufacturer’s diverse range of valves, actuators and other components, all ideally suited to the efficient operation of heat pumps and other heating set ups, as well as highlighting the scope of the two companies’ relationship.
Secon Renewables has its head office in Sunderland, as well as an established customer base which extends across the country including across the border into Scotland and although the private domestic market is strongly represented, Secon also sells into the social housing sector along with supplies government funded schemes as well as supplying major M&E companies.’
Setting the scene in the first of the two videos, the Commercial Director for Secon Renewables, Nigel Jefferson, explained: “We are an independent, renewables supply specialist selling heat pumps and accessories across the country and have been working with ESBE for more than a year now. We deal with a range of installers as well as a network of merchants, and were pleased when ESBE approached us about becoming a distributor for their products, because of the reputation and the quality which we know ESBE brings. We are really happy to be able to offer the ESBE range to all our installers, with 24 hour access available to the Secon webshop and next delivery, installers can purchase and have supplied the ESBE products at their convenience, to make sure they have access to the best quality products for their installations.
ESBE’s Managing Director, Darren Myers, confirmed: “So why do we work with Secon? One, it opens-up the gateway to the North: ideally situated in the country, secondly, they’ve got a fantastic distribution network with a very large warehouse and most importantly, they get the right message out to the installer and what does ESBE specialise in? Very simply, we control water, we mix water, we divert water.”
The manufacturer does this very successfully with its rotary valves, two-port and three-port valves, as well as its widely used circulation units and actuators: offering a complete system solution for renewables covering domestic and light commercial applications. Darren went on to emphasise ESBE’s reach across the market, offering seminars as well as direct technical support for installers and even hosts tours of its state-of-the-art production plant in Sweden, while Nigel highlighted Secon’s provision of training at its extensive premises on the Enterprise Park estate in Sunderland.
The second slightly longer video presentation goes into far more detail on the products available, with Secon’s Technical Director, Nick Eastwood talking to the Product Manager for Actuators with ESBE in Sweden, Joi Elebo – regarding the way they are fitted on the different valve bodies – generally employing adaptors - as well as the way they are hardwired to controllers and building management systems (BMS). The discussion also reflected on issues such as the flow characteristics for the different ESBE ranges and other performance characteristics.
Reflecting on the partners’ preparedness for the commercial challenges the industry is facing, Darren Myers concluded: “I am expecting the market to pick up in the second half of the year and Secon is ideally situated to offer the right technical service as well as products off-the-shelf.”
