As the UK's only remaining manufacturer of wheelbarrows, the company marked a major milestone at this year's NMBS Exhibition.
It proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary with a bold new stand, an unforgettable presence, and a significant boost in brand visibility to all attending merchants.
As one of the most anticipated events in the merchant calendar, the NMBS Exhibition provided the perfect platform for The Walsall Wheelbarrow Company to showcase its proud legacy of British manufacturing while connecting with the independent merchant network.
"This year's show was a real celebration for us," said Sales Director Simon Thacker. "Thirty years of producing reliable, British-made wheelbarrows is something we're immensely proud of. NMBS allowed us to reflect on our journey, engage with our merchant partners, and demonstrate how far the brand has come."
The company unveiled a striking new stand that paid homage to its heritage while introducing modern, eye-catching visuals, hands-on product displays, and exclusive exhibition offers. The result was one of the busiest and most talked-about stands at the show.
Sales Manager Tom Fisher commented, "The NMBS Exhibition is the only place where suppliers can connect with the full spectrum of truly independent merchants — and that's what makes it so valuable. It's not just a trade show; it's a community hub. We came away with strengthened relationships, new business opportunities, and plenty of inspiration."
Backed by a lively social media campaign filled with throwback photos and a few barrow-loads of nostalgia, the company maximised its reach both on and off the show floor. The energy and engagement reflected the brand's unique personality - grounded in tradition, but always innovating for a better future.
Nicola Coventry, NMBS Marketing Manager added: "The Walsall Wheelbarrow Company is a shining example of the excellence and character that independent merchants value. Their presence at the 2025 show was energetic, engaging, and a real tribute to their 30-year journey. It's fantastic to see members use the exhibition as a springboard for growth and innovation."
Simon Thacker concluded, "The NMBS network plays an essential role in supporting UK suppliers and manufacturers like us. It brings the right people together in the right place — and this year, it allowed us to celebrate our story with the very customers who've helped shape it."
