MANCHESTER: Wickes is expected to leave its site on Heaton Retail Park in Blackley as part of redevelopment plans put forward by site owners Terrace Hill Group.
Manchester city councillors are recommended to approve the proposals for plans being considered to redevelop the north Manchester retail park 'anchored' by a Sainsbury's superstore.
Property development company Terrace Hill Group, which acquired the complex for £5.7m from Standard Life Investments in a joint venture last summer, has submitted plans to expand the existing supermarket and create three new shops.
The retail park is currently occupied by Wickes, Currys and American Golf, and Sainsbury's. Wickes and Currys are expected to pull out, but American Golf will occupy one of the new units.
