This acquisition will help Wolseley Infrastructure and Jointing Technologies capitalise on the growth potential in the electricity market as it evolves.

Jointing Technologies specialises in the distribution of power cable and accessories to the low, medium, and high voltage markets, as well as being a provider of electrical trace- heating systems. With five sites across UK and Ireland, Jointing Technologies has enjoyed strong growth in recent years by focusing on the highest levels of customer service and product expertise.

There are strong synergies between Wolseley Infrastructure’s Fusion Utilities Power business and Jointing Technologies. This acquisition can build on Wolseley Infrastructure’s national coverage, cable-cutting service, and strength in IDNO electrical networks, as well as Jointing Technologies’ strong accessory business and wide customer base.

Both brands will be retained along with all existing sites and personnel.

John Hancock, Managing Director of Wolseley Infrastructure, commented: “Wolseley Infrastructure has a strong track record of acquisition and we are delighted to welcome Jointing Technologies to Wolseley.

“The business has a strong reputation for customer service and innovation delivered by a highly skilled team and we believe that together we can offer our combined customer base a really compelling product and service proposition.”

Adam Lloyd, Chairman of Jointing Technologies, added: “Today’s news is an exciting development for the company as we join forces with Wolseley Infrastructure. The announcement ensures the continuity of our brand, the security of jobs and long-term consistency for our customers.

“I am most looking forward to seeing this shared future unleash the potential of the Jointing Technologies family within the Wolseley group.”
