WEST YORKSHIRE: Leyland Trade's fundraising push for Help for Heroes over the past 12 months culminated in a major donation to the charity.
Leyland has undertaken a raft of fundraising initiatives in a show of support to the charity, which aims to provide help for Armed Forces personnel who have been wounded in Britain's current conflict, and recently handed over a cheque for over £3500.
Leyland also offered its support to charity events hosted by its loyal customers for Help for Heroes by providing Leyland Lovelies to add a touch of glamour and who did their best to persuade people to part with their money for a great cause.
Jim Arthur, who works for Ken Jenkinson Builders, was one such customer to benefit from Leyland's positive approach to fundraising as he helped Sheffield Masons raise over £38 000 for the charity during 2009.
David Compston, whose son Chris works for Leyland's parent company, PPG Architectural Coatings, hosted an auction in Holmfirth, Yorkshire, raising over £2500 with the help of Leyland goody bags and Leyland Lovely, Charlotte.
