NOTTINGHAM: Gibbs & Dandy, has appointed former Jewson manager, Richard Jarvis to the position of general manager.
"In a role that has significant responsibility, following the rebranding of the Nottingham-based timber specialist from International Timber (formerly known as Nixon Knowles) to Gibbs & Dandy, Mr Jarvis is the ideal candidate for the job, having worked in the builders’ merchant sector for over 27 years,"said Gibbs & Dandy. In the last few years alone Mr Jarvis has visited over 300 builders’ merchant sites for his previous employer.
Having previously worked as general manager for Jewson in York and Lincoln, as well as time spent as a regional market manager and category manager, "Mr Jarvis has unrivalled knowledge and experience of the merchant sector, and skills he aims to transfer to his running of the Nottingham operation".
