NORTHAMPTONSHIRE: Hevey Building Supplies last month appointed Tony Craft as business development manager. The appointment comes as part of Hevey’s strategy to grow the business and cement the company’s position as the county’s leading independent merchant.
Neil Hemmington, chairman of Hevey said, “We are delighted to welcome Mr Craft, who will help drive our ambitious plans for growth and ensure we become the merchant of choice for our customers.”
With 40 years experience in the construction industry, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and proven sales managerial experience and a successful track record in developing new business. Most recently Mr Craft was Specifications Sales Manager at EH Smith and prior to that he spent 14 years at Lovell Construction in various guises including site manager. His particular interest and expertise lies with bricks and exterior claddings, and he has first hand experience of private developments, having built his own homes!
Mr Craft said: “My role is to draw on my sector specific skills and utilise my business contacts to extend opportunities for Hevey. Our environmental standards together with the knowledge and advice we bring to the building process are unique selling propositions that I’m sure potential customers will find of value.”
