Howdens has entered into a sponsorship agreement with darts player Charlie Manby.

Charlie “Champagne” Manby, from Huddersfield, has found success in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, and in 2025 recorded the highest ever 9-dart average of 130.7 whilst playing in a Development tour tournament. He finished last year with style when “Champagne" reached the Last 16 on his debut appearance at the World Championships at Alexandra Palace.

Manby started playing darts as a kid and was spotted aged 12, and until recently combined playing darts with his work in the trade as a bricklayer. The Howdens deal includes shirt sponsorship, event appearances and tickets to events.

Conor Laville, Director of Marketing at Howdens, said; “Charlie represents the next generation coming through, and he hasn’t forgotten where he started. Balancing his trade with competing at the highest level says a lot about his mindset.

"That work ethic mirrors the customers we support across the UK, and we’re pleased to be backing him at this stage of his career, and our depots across the UK will be cheering him on as he pushes on this season”

Manby added; “It’s brilliant to team up with Howdens, the team understands where I’ve come from and is known for backing the trade.”
