A team of over 30 staff members from the Huws Gray Group has completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in Yorkshire to raise funds for Mates in Mind and CRASH.
The challenge saw the team scale Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, in adverse weather conditions – all in the name of mental health and homelessness support.
Together, the team has raised £24,184 with all proceeds going directly to Mates in Mind, which promotes mental health awareness and support across the construction sector, and CRASH, which helps homelessness charities and hospices with construction-related projects.
“It was a physically and mentally tough experience, but incredibly rewarding,” said Dafydd Hughes, Head of Central Operations, at Huws Gray. “Taking on this challenge as a team really reflects our commitment not only to each other but also to the wider construction community. We’re proud to support the important work these two charities do every day.”
Michael Allen, Corporate Partnerships Manager at CRASH charity, added: “At CRASH Charity, we are delighted to have the support of the incredible team at Huws Gray.
"Thank you for taking on this amazing challenge, your hard work and commitment make a real difference. Because of efforts like Huws Gray’s, CRASH can continue to create places that care for people.”
