Jewson and Howarth Timber have announced they will be hosting a friendly (but competitive!) football match to raise funds for charity.

The event is due to take place on Sunday 29 June at Gigg Lane stadium – the historic home of Bury FC.

According to the companies, however, "this isn’t just about football — it’s about community, legacy, and giving back."

Ticket are £5 and the money raised will be donated to the Christie Charity, which provides enhanced cancer care beyond what the NHS funds.

As spokes person for Jewson said: "Many of us have had colleagues, friends, and family who’ve been touched by cancer — including our beloved teammate Bob Kettlety, who recently passed away after an inspiring 11-year battle. Bob was a fighter through and through, facing every step with courage and grace. I’m sure the Howarth team also have such inspiring stories of their own to share."
