Alistair Rattenbury has joined Long Rake Spar as Area Sales Manager for the south west, while Shane McCormick has been promoted to Group Sales Director.

Rattenbury brings a track record in the construction and merchant sector, having held roles with leading businesses including Travis Perkins, Jewson and Sika. His industry knowledge and clear understanding of customer expectations make him a valuable addition to the team.

Shane McCormick became Group Sales Director on 2 February. He steps up from his role as National Sales Director, reflecting both his significant contribution to the business and the company’s continued growth across multiple sectors.

With over 20 years’ experience in the landscape and construction industry, McCormick brings exceptional commercial expertise and strategic leadership to the position. Throughout his career, he has held senior sales roles with Marshalls, Namgrass and Talasey, building a reputation for driving performance and strengthening customer partnerships.

His influence within the sector has been widely recognised, earning him a place in the Top 100 Influencers in the supply field. He is also a member of the Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants, underlining his standing within the merchant industry.
