Civils & Lintels (C&L), part of the Huws Gray group of companies, has announced the appointment of Tariq Ahmad as its new National Sales Director.
Ahmad joins the business with almost three decades of industry-relevant sales experience having previously held senior roles at Polypipe, Twyford Bathrooms and most recently that of UK Sales Director at Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces.
At Civils & Lintels Ahmad will be responsible for the nationwide sales teams encompassing the business’s ‘Core’, ‘Residential’ and ‘Major Accounts’ sector sales teams. Joining the Senior Leadership Team at C&L, he will report directly to Allan Wright, Managing Director, who commented: “Tariq’s appointment reflects both our ambition for growth, as well as our firm commitment to our strategic customer and supply chain partners.
“People remain our most important asset and it’s therefore vital that we have in place the strongest leadership team possible and here, I’m certain Tariq will complement and improve our existing team with his insight, experience and existing relationships. Having previously worked closely with Civils & Lintels in his role at Polypipe, Ahmad joins the business with a strong understanding of its people and its proposition, as well as a clear appreciation of the market dynamics and discipline required to grow market share in challenging conditions.
