Daksh Gupta, CEO of the Huws Gray Group, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), one of the organisation’s highest lifetime honours.

The recognition was presented at the IMI Annual Dinner and Awards 2026, held at the InterContinental London Park Lane, celebrating excellence and leadership across the automotive sector.

The IMI Honorary Fellowship recognises individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the automotive industry and the wider IMI community, with Daksh being only the eighth recipient of this in over 100 years. Gupta, who also serves as IMI Vice President, was honoured for his extensive leadership career and impact across multiple sectors.

Prior to joining Huws Gray Group as CEO in 2024, Gupta was CEO of Marshall Motor Holdings plc for 15 years, transforming it from a regional business into a national leader. At Huws Gray, he is focused on driving our growth strategy, enhancing our operational footprint and delivering customer excellence across the Group.

Commenting on the recognition, Gupta said: “I am honoured to have been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the IMI, an organisation that is very close to my heart and I’ve been associated with for some years. Having operated within the automotive sector for many years, this is a real privilege and I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way.”
