MBP Door Solutions has announced the appointment of Paul Smith as its new Group Sales Director.
Smith brings extensive industry experience to the role, having held senior leadership positions at Häfele, Allgood PLC, Saint-Gobain and Wolseley. In his new position, he will focus on strengthening customer relationships, expanding market opportunities and driving new business growth across the group.
Smith succeeds Adrian Wade, who will retire in October 2026 following a career spanning more than 44 years. Wade will remain with the business in the short term to support a smooth transition. Since joining MBP Door Solutions in 2019, he has played a pivotal role in consolidating the group’s sales operations, leading the successful 2023 rebrand and delivering significant revenue growth.
Reflecting on his time at the company, Wade said: “My six years at MBP have been fantastic, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some great people who will continue to drive the business forward.
"Rebranding the group in 2023 was a special moment and created a strong platform for building even closer customer relationships. MBP will continue to grow with contractors, housebuilders and merchants, providing high-quality doors and added-value solutions.”
Commenting on his appointment, Smith added: “I’m delighted to join MBP Door Solutions. With our comprehensive offer – from door kits and pre-hung doorsets to architectural ironmongery and fire and acoustic seals – we are well placed to become a trusted partner to the construction industry.”
Michael Finney, Managing Director of MBP Door Solutions, said: “Paul’s expertise in sales leadership and customer relationships makes him the ideal choice to support our next phase of growth. We wish him every success in his new role and extend our sincere thanks to Adrian for his outstanding contribution to the business over the past six years.”
